School starts at 8.40am and finishes at 2:45pm. When you arrive on Wednesday 4th September, please go straight to the Barbirolli Hall. Please do not bring all your new books on the first day.

Sturdy school bag – not large sports bag (Named) NB Lockers measure 56 x 28 x 40 cm, so plan size of bag accordingly
Full pencil case and contents, see equipment page (All named)
PE/Games kit (All clearly named)
Bus pass (if needed) or bus fare – students are not allowed on buses without the correct pass/money
Students will receive information on how to use the Biometric system to access funds for school dinners or bring a packed lunch
Enthusiasm!
NB Holiday homework, if set does not need to come to school on the first day. You will be told when to bring it in once term starts.
Mobile Phones
Mobile Phones
These can be brought in to school for use only before the start of school and at the end of the school day. They must be switched off between 8.40am and 3.30pm. If you are seen with your phone out, it will be confiscated and parents will be required to collect it from school not less than 24 hours after confiscation. The school will attempt to contact parents to check it is safe to get home. If you are seen using it, you will also receive an SLT detention.
Phones must never be used to take photographs or video in school or on the bus.
Parents: please ensure your child is aware of the consequences of inappropriate use of a mobile telephone. Please note that the school will not be held responsible for lost or damaged phones. It is highly advisable to check you child’s phone usage regularly, to ensure appropriate filters are in place and to bear in mind that many apps have a minimum age of 13.

Timetable
You will be given a timetable on your first day which you are expected to copy into your planner. It would be very useful for a copy to be made at home which can be referred to for help with organisation.
